It has a huge network of people who work together for the growth of the community. Some of the activites of the Dhodia Mandal at Surkhai is in collaboration with the Dhodia Samaj Mandal at UK.

Shree Dhodia Samaj Welfare Association, Gandhinagar

This organization was established on 4th January,1996. The main aim was to be helpful to the members of the Samaj in the difficult times.They also have a Bhajan mandal which perform at the residence of the members in the month of Shravan.

Aims:

- To make a samaj bhavan in Gandhinagar

- To organize various cultural activities in samaj bhavan

- To arrange for residence quarters/hostel for students to stay in Gandhinagar

- To start a bookbank for the students of engineering, medicine, pharmacy.

- To organize meetings for youth to help them find life-partners

- To organize group weddings

Activities:

-January/February (Annual Function)

-Various competitions related to children are organized and the prizes are given on the Day of Function.

-One day tour is organized during Diwali holidays.

-Cricket & Chess competitions are organized in December.

-On the evenings of festivals sometimes Bhajans are organized.

The leaders aim to construct a Community Centre (Samaj Bhavan) & a school in Vadodara at some point of time.
